How To Fix Kodi No Stream Available Error

Internet Service Providers are notorious for throttling your internet speed which in turn, significantly reduces the video loading speed while streaming online.
They, sometimes, even restrict some contents in your geographical location. These reasons may lead to errors like No Stream on Kodi.
Using a trusted VPN while using Kodi will mask your IP Address, thereby unblocking tons of geo-restricted content. This will also stop ISP throttling as your ISP won’t be able to see the content you are viewing.
Not only will A VPN unblock content and stop internet throttling, but it will also protect your privacy and remove online security threats. Your IP address can be tracked back to your through your ISP, therefore, it is a good idea to use a VPN while streaming on Kodi or any other platform. Above all, it will also unblock geo-restricted content.

2. Make Sure You’re Not using an Abandoned Add-on
There are countless add-ons available for Kodi. This works as an advantage for the users. But sometimes, some add-ons stop working simply because the developers stop releasing updates for those addons.
In that case, you need to remove the outdated add-on and find its replacement to tackle Kodi No Streams available problem. There are plenty of options to choose from.
Leave a comment down below telling the the addon you’re struggling with and we’ll tell you if the addon is working currently.
3. Clear Cache within the Kodi Add-ons
Over time, Cache may deposit on the Kodi add-ons you are using. This will make the add-on stop working smoothly and cause Kodi No Stream available error. Fix this problem by clearing all the cache of the add-on that been showing Kodi no streams error.
For example, let’s clear the cache and provider of The Crew Kodi add-on:
1. Select Tools after opening the add-on
(Note: In some addons, Tools may be called Settings)
2. Click THE CREW: Clear Cache…
3. Choose Yes when given an option.
4. Wait till you get a message saying process is complete.
4. Clear Providers within the Kodi Add-ons
Just like Cache, it’s important to clear Providers within the addon to ensure proper functioning of the addon. This is especially crucial if you have been using Kodi for a while.
To demonstrate how to clear Providers within an addon, we are going to take The Crew addon for example.
Here are the steps:
1. On The Crew addon’s main page, go to Tools.
(Note: In some addons, Tools may be called Settings)
2. Hit THE CREW: Clear providers…
3. Choose Yes when you see the below prompt
4. Wait until the process is complete.
5. Try a Different Source to Stream
It’s a common misconception that if a source is listed, it must be working. When you try to stream a movie or a TV show through a Kodi add-on, you will normally find many video sources. However, not all of them work.
If you are trying to stream content from one of the sources which stopped working, you will face Kodi No Stream available problem. In that case, simply try a different source and see if your problem is solved.
6. Uninstall and Reinstall the Add-on
If a particular add-on is not working, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling that add-on to solve No Stream on Kodi problem. This process work like a magic sometimes and can fix any problem that you might be having with the addon.
Here’s how you uninstall an addon ( In this case, The Oath addon):
1. To uninstall a particular add-on, go to the Kodi settings by clicking the Gear Icon
2. Find Add-ons option.
3. Then, click My Add-ons option
4. Now, head to Video add-on.
5. Find the add-on you want to uninstall and click it.
6. Click the Uninstall option
7. Confirm it by clicking Yes.
8. The uninstallation process will be completed within a few minutes.
After you have uninstalled the add-on, re-install it the same way you installed it previously. We have a comprehensive list of Kodi Addons. Check it to find the addon you are trying to install. The list comes with Installation guide links as well.
7. Turn OFF the Auto Play Feature
Although the Auto Play feature is a nice feature incorporated in many add-ons, it can cause Kodi no stream error sometimes. No stream error happens when the Kodi tries to play a dead streaming link because of the enabled Auto Play feature.
Below are the steps on how to turn off the Auto Play feature on Kodi add-ons. We are going to take the example of The Crew addon here.
1. Launch The Crew Addon.
2. Click Tools.
3. Then, select Settings: Playback.
4. Choose Playback from the left panel. And then, make sure the Default action is not set to Auto Play. Set it to Directory instead. Next, hit OK.
5. Scroll down and make sure SD hosters in Auto Play option is also turned off.
8. Ensure the Video Source is Available
One of the main reasons for the Kodi no stream available error is the content you are searching for is not available or has been removed.
Generally, it happens when you try to play a really old movie or a TV show. It can also happen when you try to play a movie or a TV episode that has aired recently. There may be no working links for those content since they are either very new or very old.
Sometimes, although the streaming links are removed from the web, they might still be displayed in the content source list. But these links will obviously not work and will fail to play causing Kodi no streams problem.
9. ResolveURL Not Installed/Malfunctioning
Most add-ons rely on ResolveURL dependency to function properly. ResolveURL decodes file hosters and scrapes videos that can be played on Kodi directly.
So, if a video source fails to play, it’s either due to your ResolveURL malfunctioning or the video source not being available any longer.
This is why the Kodi no steams problem is linked to malfunctioning or missing ResolveURL.
Here’s how you can check if Resolve URL is installed on your Kodi:
1. Go to Kodi Settings(Gear Icon)
2. Select System
3. Then, on the lower left side of the screen, select Advanced, if it says Standard or Basic. Clicking on the option will change it.
Now, select Add-ons on the left menu pane. Click Manage dependencies on the right
4. Scroll down and check if ResolveURL is installed. You will see a tick next to it if it’s installed.
6. If not, simply click ResolveURL and hit Install. Wait for it to install.
If ResolveURL is already installed, you need to reset ResolveURL and reauthorize your Debrid account (steps to re-authorize Real-Debrid are provided in the next section).
To reset ResolveURL, follow the below steps:
1. Open ResolveURL
2. Choose Configure
3. Make sure ResolveURL tab is selected on the left. Click Reset Function Cache
4. Once done, you’ll see a Cache Reset notification telling you Cache has been reset
5. Now, turn OFF Use Function Cache using the toggle switch
Doing this will ensure ResolveURL is working properly.
10. Use Real Debrid to Solve Kodi No Stream Available Error
There is a possibility of limitations of video sources available for the content you are trying to stream. This may also result in Kodi No Stream available error.
We suggest using Real Debrid to tackle this problem and get HD buffer-free links. Real Debrid adds tons of new links to the available streams. I have rarely faced Kodi no stream errors with Real Debrid.
Integrating your Real Debrid Account with an add-on is easy. For this example, we are going to show how you can sign in to your Real Debrid account in The Crew Kodi add-on.
For detailed information, visit our guide on How to Setup & Use Real Debrid on Kodi
1. SIgn Up for real debrid HERE
2. Select Tools after opening the add-on
3. Choose RESOLVEURL: SETTINGS
4. Now click Universal Resolvers on the left panel and find the Real Debrid section in the middle
Then, select (Re)Authorise My Account
5. You will see a code on screen
6. Visit https://real-debrid.com/device on a browser and enter the code
7. Click Continue to complete the process.
11. Use a VPN That is Supported by Debrid Service
VPN helps to encrypt your IP address. It secures you from online security threats. It also unblocks geo-restricted content.
However, when you are using Premium sources like Real Debrid for quality links, it can cause Kodi No Stream errors. It’s because some VPNs are NOT supported by Debrid services.
We recommend installing a VPN that is compatible with the Debrid service you are using. I highly recommend and use ExpressVPN. It works with premium services like Real Debrid, Premiumize, and All Debrid.
But if you already have a VPN, check if the Kodi error is caused by a VPN conflict. To do so, turn off VPN. Then, restart Kodi after restarting your router and modem, if any. Check if the links are playing now.
12. Find Out if the Antivirus is Blocking the Streams
Although Antivirus is supposed to protect our systems from virus and malware. However, they can become overprotective and stop Kodi addons from streaming smoothly.
To check if this is the issue, you can disable the antivirus for sometime and try streaming again.
13. Check if Kodi is Loaded with Too Many Add-ons
If you have been using Kodi for a long time, then it is possible that you have ended up installing many addons on to your Kodi application. Too many addons can seriously weigh down your Kodi app and drastically reduce its efficiency
14. Enabling Providers (if available)
Ensure you have enabled Providers in your add-on settings if the option is available. This may help to solve No Stream on Kodi problem.
For example, we are going to enable Providers on The Crew Kodi add-on here:
1. Choose Tools option after opening the add-on
2. Now select SETTINGS: Providers
3. Make sure Providers is selected on the left panel, then on the right, check if all the providers are enabled. If not, do so and hit OK
4. Do the same for Real Debrid Providers.
5. Also, enable the Torrents providers
15. Turn On the Auto-Update Feature
If you are using an old version of an add-on on Kodi, it’s likely to face Kodi No Stream available error. The addons have an auto-update feature, make sure it is turned ON.
Here’s how you can do it ( I am taking The Crew as an example):
1. Open Kodi and select Settings
2. Next, hit Add-ons
3. Select My Add-ons
4. Find the Video add-on option and click it.
5. Select the add-on you wish to choose. I am choosing The Crew here.
6. Make sure Auto-update is enabled. If not, use the toggle switch to enable it.
16. Clear Kodi Cache
Over a period of time, cache may build up on apps due to the accumulation of temporary files. Kodi is no different and it will also accumulate Cache. This may cause consequences like Kodi No Stream available. To eradicate this problem, make sure you cleared Kodi Cache.

You can check your internet speed by installing an application Internet Speed Test on your FireStick.
In addition, try resetting your router and reconnect your device. It may also help to solve your internet speed problem. Resetting your router is no big task, yet it is almost always works. Disconnect it and after a few minutes, start it again. Now, reconnect your devices.
19. Go for a Lower Resolution Video
Even though most of the time, you have a fast internet connection but on certain occasions, your internet speed may be slow. This may be caused due to higher traffic experienced by your internet service provider or just poor internet reception due to bad weather.
Whatever may be the cause, it will lag the videos and cause buffering. This also may cause Kodi No Stream available error sometimes.
The solution to this error is to go for a lower resolution video rather than opting for a high definition video when you experience network issues.
20. Increase Provider Time-out Limit (If Available)
Increasing Provider Time-out limit will increase the time taken by the add-on to scrape all the available video links from the web. This little hack may solve your Kodi No Stream available problem particularly when you have a poor internet connection.
For example, let’s learn how we can change this in The Crew Kodi add-on:
1. Select Tools after opening the add-on
2. Choose SETTINGS: Playback…
3. Now, under Playback, find Providers Timeout on the right
(Note: This option may be located under Scraping or General Settings in some addons)
4. Increase the time-out limit to the max with the help of a slider. The maximum limit is 60 in this case. Save the changes by clicking OK.
