How to Install The Gears Kodi Addon
Please follow the below steps:
Step 1. Enable Unknown Sources
Before installing The Gears or any other third-party Kodi addon, you need to enable Unknown Sources in Kodi. This allows Kodi to install addons and repositories that are not available in the official Kodi repository.
1. From the Kodi home screen, open Settings.
2. Select System.
3. Select Add-ons from the left-hand menu.
Turn on Unknown sources.
5. When the warning appears, click Yes to confirm.
You can now return to the Kodi home screen and continue with the installation of The Gears.
Step 2. Add the Chains Repository Source
The Chains repository is the current source for The Gears.
1. Open Kodi and click Settings from the top-left corner.
2. Select File Manager.
3. Click Add Source.
4. Select <None>.
5. Enter the following URL:
https://unhingedthemes.github.io
Hit OK.
6. Enter Chains as the name for the media source. Hit OK.
7. Click OK again.
Step 3. Install the Chains Repository
1. Return to the Kodi Settings menu.
2. Select Add-ons.
3. Select Install from zip file.
4. If Kodi asks you to confirm the warning, click Yes.
5. Select Chains from the list of available sources.
6. Select: repository.chainsrepo-x.x.xx.zip
7. Wait for the Chains Repository Add-on installed notification.
Step 4. Install The Gears Addon
1. Select Install from repository.
2. Choose Chains Repository.
3. Select Video add-ons.
4. Click The Gears.
5. Select Install.
6. Wait for the installation to finish.
7. The Gears should now be available under your Kodi video addons.

From your Kodi home screen: go to Addons>Video-addons>The Gears.

How to Set Up Gears Scrapers
The Gears comes with its own Gears Scrapers package, but it needs to be enabled before the addon can use it to find sources. You can also use compatible external modules such as CocoScrapers or Magneto Module.
1. Open The Gears.
2. Select Tools.
3. Click Settings.
4. Go to the Premium Accounts tab on the left. Find External Scrapers on the right and toggle the switch to Enable.
5. Click Choose External Scrapers Module.
6. Select Gears Scrapers.
7. Click OK.
8. The Gears Scrapers module is now enabled.
How to Set Up Real-Debrid on The Gears
The Gears requires a premium Debrid service to provide streaming sources. It supports Real-Debrid, TorBox, Premiumize, and AllDebrid.
For this guide, I’ll use Real-Debrid.
1. Open The Gears.
2. Select Tools.
3. Click Settings.
4. Go to the Premium Accounts tab.
Find Real-Debrid and select AUTHORIZE.
5. A QR code and authorization code will appear.
Scan the QR code or visit the URL shown on the screen.
6. Log in to your Real-Debrid account if required.
7. Enter the authorization code and confirm the connection.
8. Return to Kodi.
9. You should see a Success message confirming that Real-Debrid has been authorized.
How to Use The Gears Kodi Addon
Once The Gears, Gears Scrapers, and your Debrid service are configured, you can start using the addon.
Open The Gears from the Kodi Add-ons section.
Choose Movies, TV Shows, or Anime.
Select the title you want to watch.
Choose an episode if you are watching a TV show.
The Gears will search for available streaming sources.
Select a source to begin playback.
You can also use the source filtering options from the source-selection screen to narrow down the results.
