In this article, I will share the steps to update Kodi on every device imaginable. I have included the methods for FireStick, Android, Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi, MacOS, iOS, and more.

I will also show you how you can set Kodi to auto-update on devices that allow this.

Kodi is a popular streaming app known for its versatility and reliability. Kodi developers regularly come up with new updates to make app work flawlessly. A lot of Windows users install Kodi in their device to stream content. There are multiple ways to update Kodi in Windows. You can update it from Microsoft Store, using a dedicated Windows-Installer Kodi addon, or from the official Kodi website.

Let’s learn how to update Kodi on PC or any other Windows-supported devices:

1. Using Microsoft Store

Kodi is listed in Microsoft Store. So, if you have downloaded Kodi from the Microsoft Store, you can easily update it from there.

Note: Do bear in mind that you will only see the Update option if your Kodi app has been installed from the Microsoft Store. If you have installed you Kodi from the official Kodi Website or other third-party sources, this method will not work. However, you can go ahead and install Kodi from Microsoft Store now and your previous Kodi version(installed from other sources) will be updated as well. 1. Before you proceed any further, install Cydia Impactor on your PC. You can use any PC having macOS, Windows, or Linux.

2. Connect your PC with your iOS device.

A) If you are using Mac PC, convert it by following the below steps:

1. Using an application like The Unarchiver, extract the .deb file.

2. Next, click the extracted folder to open it. Then, extract data.tar.lzma

3. Open the Applications folder after opening data folder that you just extracted. You will find Kodi file inside.

4. Next, create a new folder and name it Payload.

5. Then, move the Kodi file inside Payload folder.

6. Right-click Payload and select Compress ‘‘Payload’’.

7. Rename the extension from Payload.zip to Kodi.ipa

B) If you are using Windows PC, convert it by following the below steps:

1. Install 7Zip from its official website.

You have to launch the Linux Terminal and run a particular command to update Kodi on Linux devices. This process is pretty similar when you are installing apps on Linux. Only the command run is different in both cases.  Let’s learn how to update Kodi on Linux-supported devices:
